Christopher Simms Jr., born Februaryâ¯6â¯1998 in Jacksonville, Texas, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who performs under the stage name Cicoâ¯P. He began recording in his teens, releasing early singles that garnered attention on regional streaming platforms. Cicoâ¯Pâs breakthrough came with the single "Tampa", which went viral on TikTok in early 2021 and propelled him to the top of the US Spotify Viralâ¯50 chart, the Numberâ¯3 spot on Rollingâ¯Stoneâs Breakthroughâ¯25, and the Numberâ¯41 on Billboardâs Emerging Artists list. In Octoberâ¯2019 he issued the debut studio album Sweetâ¯Union, followed by the EP SUAâ¯Files in Aprilâ¯2021, both released through the independent label DawgTies.
