Christian Daniel

Christian Daniel (born Christian Daniel Felipez Alemany on March 20, 1984, in Santurce, San Juan) established himself as a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter after recording an early demo as a teenager and spending years shopping his material until producer Emilio Estefan brought him to Miami to cut his debut album. He released Christian Daniel in 2007, launching a career that blended Latin pop balladry with radio-friendly urbano touches and later added acting work in Telemundo telenovelas. He followed with Todo Lo Que Tengo in 2011, a set that leaned into romantic pop and helped expand his reach beyond Puerto Rico, then entered his biggest mid-career visibility stretch with Renacer in 2015, anchored by singles such as “Me Vuelvo un Cobarde” and “Ahora Que Te Vas,” a title that became his signature and later placed him among the finalists at the Billboard Latin Music Awards for its pop-chart impact. He kept widening his audience through collaborations, including joining Abraham Mateo and Farruko on “Loco Enamorado” in 2017, which exposed him to a broader pan-Latin streaming public. After that peak period, he maintained a steady release pace across singles and remixes, shifting between pop and tropical arrangements while refining a cleaner, more melodic direction. In 2024, he re-centered his catalog with the EP Ser, featuring tracks such as “Ven,” “Me Va a Extrañar,” “De Nosotros,” “Me Perdono,” and “Lo Más Bonito,” and he continued that run with additional alternate versions like “Ven (Bachata Remix).” In 2025, he leaned further into collaborations with “Eres un 10” alongside Jowell and closed the year with “Canto,” which reached number 24 on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart.
