Throughout their career, Chitãozinho & Xororó released numerous albums, including Amante Amada (1981), Fotografia (1985), and Coração Quebrado (1986). In 1986, they began hosting the TV show "Chitãozinho e Xororó Especial" on SBT. They also collaborated with international artists such as the Bee Gees on "Words" for the album Tudo por Amor in 1993 and Billy Ray Cyrus on "Ela nao vai mais chorar" ("She's Not Cryin' Anymore") for Coração do Brasil in 1994. The duo also participated in the program Estudio Coca-Cola Zero with the pop-rock band Fresno in 2008 and performed at the "Show da Virada" on Rede Globo. Later studio works like Tom do Sertão (2015), Tempo de Romance (2020) and Legado (2022) reinforced their status as elder statesmen of the genre. In 2024 they released José & Durval, an album inspired by their life story that accompanied the Globoplay series As Aventuras de José e Durval and revisited key moments of their trajectory with new recordings; in 2025 José & Durval won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Sertaneja Music Album, adding a new chapter to a career that remained active more than five decades after their debut.
