Charlotte Ann Martin, also known as Charlotte Martin, born on October 31, 1976, in Charleston, Illinois, is an American singer-songwriter and musician who performs predominantly on the piano. She began her musical journey with the release of Mystery, Magic & Seeds in 1998. Her first major-label debut came with On Your Shore, released in 2004, under RCA Records. The album included the single "Every Time It Rains" and was promoted through tours such as Chicks with Attitude alongside Liz Phair and the Cardigans. Martin's subsequent releases include Stromata (2006), Piano Trees (2009), and Dancing on Needles (2011). She has collaborated with various artists, including Tiësto and Ben Lee. In 2017, she announced her retirement from touring to focus on family but continued releasing instrumental piano albums such as Clear Blue Sky (2018) and Monotonous Night (2019), along with the EP Knives & Bouquets (2023).
