Carol Claire Aguilar Banawa, known professionally as Carol Banawa, was born on March 4, 1981, in Pasay, Philippines. She is a Filipino singer and actor who began her career at a young age, participating in beauty pageants and joining the ABS-CBN children's variety show "Ang TV" in the late 1980s. Her breakthrough came with the release of her debut album Carol in 1997 under Star Records. The album was re-released in 2000 with additional songs. Banawa's career continued to flourish, leading to the release of her second album Carol Vol. 2 in September 2016. Throughout her career, Banawa has been recognized for her contributions to Filipino pop music and remains a notable figure in the industry.
