Busy Bee

David James Parker, known as Busy Bee, is an American rapper born on October 26, 1962, in New York City. He began his career in 1977 and has worked with hip-hop pioneers such as Melle Mel and Afrika Bambaataa. Busy Bee's early breakthrough came through MC rap battles, where he gained a large following for his comedic rhymes. In 1985, he won the New Music Seminar's MC World Supremacy Belt. His debut album Running Thangs was released in 1988 under Strong City/Uni/MCA Records, peaking at Number 48 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Notable singles include "School Days" (1981) and "Suicide" (1987). Busy Bee continued to release music throughout his career, including albums like Thank God For Busy Bee (1992). He appeared in films such as Wild Style (1983) and Paid in Full (2002).
