Buck Meek

Alexander Buckley "Buck" Meek, born July 10 1987 in Wimberley, Texas, is a guitarist, songwriter, and singer who first gained attention in the early 2010s. After studying at Berklee College of Music, Buck Meek moved to New York City, busking on 14th Street to support himself, and in 2014 released the EPs A‑Sides and B‑Sides with Adrianne Lenker. He co‑founded Big Thief in 2015, contributing to five critically acclaimed albums, including U.F.O.F., which earned a Grammy nomination in 2019. Buck Meek’s solo career began with the eponymous album Buck Meek (2018), followed by Two Saviors (2021) and Haunted Mountain (2023); his latest studio work, The Mirror, was issued on 27 February 2026 under 4AD. His single "Gasoline" was released on 7 January 2026, marking his most recent contribution to the alternative‑rock scene.
