Alexander Buckley "Buck" Meek, born Julyâ¯10â¯1987 in Wimberley, Texas, is a guitarist, songwriter, and singer who first gained attention in the early 2010s. After studying at Berklee College of Music, Buck Meek moved to Newâ¯York City, busking on 14th Street to support himself, and in 2014 released the EPs AâSides and BâSides with Adrianne Lenker. He coâfounded Bigâ¯Thief in 2015, contributing to five critically acclaimed albums, including U.F.O.F., which earned a Grammy nomination in 2019. Buck Meekâs solo career began with the eponymous album Buckâ¯Meek (2018), followed by Twoâ¯Saviors (2021) and Hauntedâ¯Mountain (2023); his latest studio work, Theâ¯Mirror, was issued on 27â¯Februaryâ¯2026 under 4AD. His single "Gasoline" was released on 7â¯Januaryâ¯2026, marking his most recent contribution to the alternativeârock scene.
