Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams (born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, November 5, 1959) recorded two albums before breaking through in 1983 with his third, Cuts like a Knife (#8 in Canada and the U.S.). Subsequent albums, Reckless (No. 1 in 1984) and Into the Fire (No. 1 in 1987), ensured her pole position on the radio and in the sales charts, thanks to a mix of rock songs and ballads, all featuring the singer's gravelly voice. From the duet with Tina Turner on "It's Only Love" (No. 14 in 1984) to the hit "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" (No. 1) in 1995, the singer enjoyed international success, selling over 50 million albums. After the release of On a Day like Today (No. 3 in 1998), the compilation of his hits The Best of Me proved to be another best seller (No. 7). In 2004, the singer released the more personal Room Service (No. 2). It was produced by Bob Rock, as was its successor, 11 (No. 1 in 2008). Bryan Adams embarks on an acoustic tour, recorded on a similar album, Bare Bones (No. 18, 2010), before giving in to nostalgia on Tracks of My Years (No. 1, 2014). The follow-up, Get Up, released in 2015, is his first original album in seven years, and reached No. 8 in Canada. Busy with his photography and humanitarian work, he didn't return until four years later with Shine a Light (#1 in 2019), featuring a guest appearance by Jennifer Lopez. After penning the soundtrack to the musical Pretty Woman - The Musical in 2022, Bryan Adams signed his fifteenth studio opus that same year, So Happy It Hurts, produced by Mutt Lange, which reached No. 29 in Canada and No. 3 in the UK. Three years later, Adams returned to the guitar rock of his early days on Roll with the Punches.
