The Bruce Katz Band, founded in 1991 by renowned keyboardist Bruce Katz, has become a staple in the American blues and jazz scenes. Bruce Katz, a master of piano and Hammond organ, started his musical journey playing with various blues, jazz, and rock bands, but it was his passion for the blues that drove him to form his own group. After years of touring and recording with artists like Ronnie Earl and Gregg Allman, Bruce Katz focused on leading the Bruce Katz Band, which has since released numerous acclaimed albums, starting with Crescent Crawl in 1992. Their unique sound blends blues, jazz, and southern rock influences, with standout albums like Mississippi Moan (1997), Homecoming (2014), and Out From The Center (2016) reaching the top of blues radio charts. Bruce Katz Band is known for its dynamic instrumentals and collaborations with legendary musicians, including members of the Allman Brothers Band. The band's latest releases, Connections (2023) and Back In Boston Live (2024), continue to showcase Bruce Katz's signature sound and solidify the group's place in modern blues.
