Brothertiger is the stage name of John Jagos, a Brooklyn-based electronic music producer and performer known for his dreamy synth-pop and chillwave sound, blending elements of 1980s synth music with modern production techniques. He began recording under the name Brothertiger in 2009 while studying music production at Ohio University. His debut EP, Vision Tunnels, was released in 2010, followed by his first full-length album, Golden Years, in 2012. Since then, he has released several albums, including Future Splendors (2013), Out of Touch (2015), and Paradise Lost (2020), showcasing his evolving sound and artistic growth. Since 2020, he began recording the Fundamentals album series, comprising five volumes by 2024. His work has been recognized for its nostalgic yet contemporary feel, drawing comparisons to artists like Washed Out, Toro y Moi, and Tycho. After the release of a self-titled album in 2022, Brothertiger collaborated with Hotel Pools on Paradigms, issued in 2025.
