Edinburgh-born Scottish soul singer Brooke Combe appears in 2021 with a series of singles including "Are You with Me?", "A-Game", "Used to Love Me" and an acoustic cover of Baccara's disco hit "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie", amidst original compositions backed by muscular soul instrumentation with guitar. Signed by Island Records, she won the title of Female Revelation at the Scottish Music Awards in 2021, before delivering new songs with "Miss Me Now" (2022), "Black Is the New Gold" (2023) and "Dancing at the Edge of the World", collected on the album Black Is the New Gold. In 2024, Brooke Combe's retro soul continues with the EP This Town, whose lead single enters the Airplay Top 40 at #24 in January 2025.
