Brokeback

Douglas McCombs is an American bassist and guitarist who began his career in the late 1990s as a founding member of the group Pullman with Bundy K. Brown, Chris Brokaw, and Curtis Harvey, releasing two albums. He later joined the rock band Tortoise and became the bassist for Eleventh Dream Day. In 2000 he launched the project Brokeback, issuing albums such as Field Recordings from Cook County Water Table (1999), Morse Code In The Modern Age: Across The Americas (2001), Looks at the Bird (2003), Brokeback and the Black Rock (2013), Illinois River Valley Blues (2017), and VMAK<KOMBZ<<<DUGLAS<<6NDR7<<< (2022). Brokeback has featured collaborations with Rob Mazurek, Noel Kupersmith, Mary Hansen, and James McNew.
