Brett Eldredge was born in Paris, Illinois, USA, on March 23, 1986, and developed a passion for music at an early age, like his cousin who later became a member of the bluegrass band The Grascals. His career took off in 2010 when he helped write a song, "I Think I've Had Enough", for Gary Allan, who recorded it on his eighth studio album, Get Off on the Pain. This experience led him to insist on his musical leanings, and more particularly in country music, a movement for which he seemed particularly predisposed. The same year, he signed his contract with Atlantic Records and released his first single, "Raymond", which immediately made a name for itself in the specialized charts, as did his follow-up, "It Ain't Gotta Be Love". In 2012, he took things a step further with "Don't Ya" , which reached the Top 20 for the first time, before going to No. 1 and setting the stage for his debut album, Bring You Back. A second and third single, "Beat on the Music" and "Mean to Me", also reached No. 1. A second opus, Illinois, was released in 2015, with the single "Lose My Mind" sent scouting and reaching #1 again. "Drink on Your Love" and then "Wanna Be That Song" took their turn to shine, and he was eventually chosen in 2017 to support Taylor Swift's tour, a few months after releasing her first Christmas album, Glow. 2017 saw Brett Eldredge release a namesake album, marked in particular by the singles "Somethin' I'm Good At" and "The Long Way". It wasn't until 2020, however, that the American singer returned to the spotlight with a new album, Sunday Drive, followed by his first Christmas duet with Kelly Clarkson on "Under the Mistletoe" (no. 59). Two years later, the album Songs About You takes a richly arranged country soul turn, before a new Christmas track, "Feels Like Christmas (Unwrapped)". A second album followed a year later, Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family), featuring contributions from Kelly Clarkson and Idarose.
