Brandon Flowers

Brandon Flowers (born in Nevada in 1981), frontman of The Killers, lyricist, singer, and pianist, launched his solo career with the album Flamingo, released in 2010. A devout believer, he unveiled a series of epic and mystical songs epitomized by the single “Crossfire”. After a tour of major cities alongside Andy Summers (The Police) and Fran Healy (Travis), the artist divided his time between his band and his second album, The Desired Effect (2015), for which he collaborated with a host of guests, including Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys) and Bruce Hornsby, showcasing his musical eclecticism. His solo career then took a back seat for several years, as Brandon Flowers focused primarily on The Killers. In 2020, the band released Imploding the Mirage, followed in 2021 by Pressure Machine, a more stripped-down and autobiographical album largely inspired by Flowers’ childhood in Nephi, Utah. After resuming touring, The Killers celebrated their 20th anniversary with the compilation Rebel Diamonds in 2023, followed by a major tour in 2024 and a residency in Las Vegas during which they performed Hot Fuss in its entirety. In 2025, Flowers received the Special International Award at the Ivor Novello Awards, presented by Bruce Springsteen, and confirmed that he was preparing for his solo comeback. This comes to fruition in 2026 with “Plans”, followed by “Paradise” and “Tiger’s Blood”, three tracks that herald his third album, Thrasher. Recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, as well as David Rawlings, Bruce Bouton, and Charlie McCoy, the album was released on August 21, 2026. On it, Flowers largely moves away from the synth-pop of his previous solo albums in favor of traditional country music inspired by the records of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings that his father listened to during his childhood.
