Boytronic

Boytronic, a German electronic music group formed in Hamburg in 1983 by Holger Wobker and Peter Sawatzki, gained prominence with their debut single "You", which reached number 10 on the German Singlecharts. The band's early success was marked by the release of their first album The Working Model in 1983, followed by collaborations with producer Bobby Orlando, resulting in the single "Man in a Uniform" from the 1985 album The Continental. Boytronic faced internal conflicts and label disputes during the production of their third album, leading to Holger Wobker's departure. The band's name was later used for projects without the original members, including the albums Love for Sale (1988) and The Heart and the Machine (1992). After a hiatus, Boytronic returned with new members and released several albums, including Dependence in 2006. The band's lineup changed over the years, with Holger Wobker and James Knights forming the core of the group by 2018. Subsequent releases include Jewel (2017) and The Robot Treatment (2019).
