Boss Shady

Boss Shady, also known as Xie Di (谢帝), is a Chinese rapper and music producer born Cai Zhenhong (蔡镇鸿) on November 6, 1989, in Chengdu, Sichuan. He began his music career in 2009 during university with the rap group Nanbei, gaining early attention with the track “来到团结镇.” In 2013, his song “在场” earned him a Best Original Mandarin Song award at the Chinese Hip-Hop Awards. A major breakthrough came in 2014 when his viral performance of "明天不上班" on the show 中国好歌曲 led to widespread recognition and the Best Dialect Song award at the third Hip-Hop Awards. In 2015, Boss Shady released his debut solo album 人，社会，钱 and held his first tour. He followed with numerous singles and albums including 这张专辑太Diao了 (2017), the Couple Hunnid Mixtape series (2020–2021) and the Couple Hunnid All Star Mixtape series (2025).
