Bob Carlisle

Robert Mason Carlisle, known as Bob Carlisle, was born on September 29, 1956, in the United States of America, and emerged as a contemporary Christian singer and songwriter. After performing with several bands, most notably Allies and Billy Thermal, Bob Carlisle began a solo career that would bring him critical acclaim. His debut solo album, Bob Carlisle, was released on June 15, 1993, followed by Allies Years on September 15, 1993, and The Hope of a Man on November 15, 1994; these early releases established his presence in the CCM market. The breakthrough came with Butterfly Kisses (originally Shades of Grace), released on May 13, 1997, which earned a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Country Song and three Dove Awards, including Song of the Year, and achieved double platinum status in the United States. Subsequent albums- Simply Bob Carlisle (June 15, 1995), Stories From the Heart (September 29, 1998), Nothing But the Truth (August 22, 2000), The Best of Bob Carlisle: Butterfly Kisses & Other Stories (May 21, 2002), and True Believer (December 27, 2005)-continued to showcase his songwriting and vocal abilities, though none matched the commercial impact of Butterfly Kisses. In 2006, the single "Keep The Light On" was issued on July 25, adding to his catalog of contemporary Christian hits. Carlisle’s career is marked by sustained chart success, multiple awards, and a legacy that remained influential within the CCM community for many years.
