In 2005, Canada's Black Mountain surprised everyone with their debut album, a cross between Pink Floyd-style psychedelic rock and modern alternative rock. Critically acclaimed ahead of its release, the quintet - a Vancouver-based collective of prolific creativity - confirmed its potential three years later with a second album, In the Future, followed by Wilderness Heart in 2010 and IV, just six years later.
