Black Helium

Black Helium are a London‑based psych‑rock powerhouse known for their searing blend of vintage proto‑punk grit, trippier space‑rock atmospheres, and heavy stoner grooves. Formed in their current lineup in 2016, the trio features Stuart Gray (vocals/guitar), Beck Harvey (bass/vocals), and Diogo Gomes (drums)—though they’ve had a revolving cast of drummers throughout their history. Recorded in London, Primitive Fuck (2018)—their debut LP—captured raw, glam‑stoner energy with thick, psych‑heavy riffs. The band's second album, The Wholly Other (2020), was a live‑in‑studio affair at Bear Bites Horse with engineer Wayne Adams, while third album Um (2023), released on Riot Season, pushed their psychedelia deeper. They returned in 2025 with fourth album The Animals Are Coming.
