Billy Lockett

Billy Lockett is a British singer-songwriter and pianist from Northampton, known for an emotive blend of piano-led pop, indie and alternative songwriting. Drawn to the piano from a young age, he built his music around direct storytelling, fragile vocals and themes of love, loss, grief and recovery. His breakthrough came with the 2015 EP Burn It Down, which helped him build a UK live following and led to support slots with artists including James Bay and Hozier. In 2020, he released Together At Home, an album of modern classical piano pieces, before returning to vocal songwriting with his debut studio album Abington Grove in 2023. A deluxe edition followed in 2024, while "Pure Imagination" became the theme song for the Masters Golf coverage on Sky Sports in 2025. That period also brought a wider TV profile through his appearance on The Voice UK in 2024. In 2026, Lockett released his second full-length album, Things Are Looking Up, led by singles including "Out of the Blue", "Things Are Looking Up" and "Cornerstone", and issued it through his own label, Lockett Records. The LP peaked at number 50 on the UK Albums Chart.
