Billy Crawford

Billy Joe Ledesma Crawford (born May 16, 1982) is a Filipino actor, musician, singer, dancer and comedian. Celebrated as one of the most acclaimed Filipino performers globally, he is a recipient of two NRJ Music Awards, a FAMAS Award and a special Ani ng Dangal award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). At age 4, Crawford made his screen debut on the variety show That's Entertainment. As a child actor, he made several appearances in the films Sandakot na Bala (1988), Pardina at ang mga Duwende (1989), Pahiram ng Isang Umaga (1989), and Bote, Dyaryo, Garapa (1989) among others. He left for the U.S. at age 12 and enrolled in the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City. In 1995, he became one of Michael Jackson's back-up dancers at the MTV Video Music Awards. Following his return in the Philippines, he staged his comeback concert titled Billy Crawford: It's Time at the Araneta Coliseum. In 2022, he was hailed as the grand winner of the French dance competition, Danse avec les Stars. Having sold an estimated two million records worldwide, Crawford is among the best-selling Filipino artist of the 21st century. He released three studio albums under V2 Records, the first being his self-titled debut album. In 2002, he released his sophomore album Ride. It was a commercial success, achieving Gold in Switzerland and Platinum in France. It produced his most successful single "Trackin", which became a massive success across Europe. It reached No. 1 in Netherlands, peaked at No. 11 on the European Hot 100 Singles and sold 500,000 units in France.
