Bilind Ibrahim

Bilind İbrahim Nasir, born in 1974 in Dihok, is a Kurdish singer and musician. His family was forced to emigrate due to conflicts with the Iraqi regime, settling in Dihok in 1975. Showing an early passion for music, he began learning the violin in 1988 under Walid and Nihad Khalid. By 1991, he performed as a singer with the Pesheng music group and later collaborated with the Ruhad art group. In 1994, Bilind recorded his first song, "Bala Bala" , with lyrics by Hişar Muhammed Hisên, broadcast on KTV-Dihok. His debut album, Evini (1998), featured compositions by his teacher Muhammed Omar. Subsequent works, including The Golden Nest (2001) and Come Fairy (2006), showcased his deep connection to Kurdish folklore and tradition. Renowned for blending traditional Kurdish music with modern interpretations, Bilind continues to preserve and celebrate Kurdish culture through his art and performances.
