Bethany Dillon

American Christian singer Bethany Dillon was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on September 22, 1988. Noted for her debut album of the same name in 2004, the best-selling album by a female artist that year, she received two Gospel Music Association nominations and followed this up with Imagination (2005), whose track "Hero" features on the Dreamer film soundtrack, and then Waking Up (2007), both produced by Ed Cash. After In Christ Alone: Modern Hymns of Worship with Matt Hammitt in 2008 and Stop & Listen (2009), Bethany Dillon took a break for several years until the release of A Better Word (2017), followed by All My Questions (2021). She has been performing under her married name Bethany Barnard since her marriage to Shane Barnard, singer and guitarist of Texas duo Shane & Shane.
