Benjamin Francis Leftwich

Benjamin Francis Leftwich, born on September 4, 1989 in York, England, is an English singer-songwriter. Leftwich began playing music at age ten and released his first EP A Million Miles Out (2010). His debut album Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm (2011), produced by Ian Grimble, peaked at number 35 on the UK charts. The album included notable songs such as "Box of Stones" and received positive reviews from publications like The Fly and Sunday Express. His song "Shine" was named Spotify's most addictive track of 2014. Leftwich released several albums including After the Rain (2016), Gratitude (2019), To Carry a Whale (2021), and Some Things Break (2024). He collaborated with artists such as The 1975, Holly Humberstone, and CMAT.
