Benab

Originally from Sevran, Seine-Saint-Denis, where he was born on August 6, 1995, French rapper Youness Benabdelouahed aka Benab made a name for himself in 2018, thanks to his track "Baléares". This track helped him accumulate views on social networks. A year later, with the support of beatmaker Bersa and former rapper-turned-producer Seven, he released his first album, Dracarys, a reference to the Game of Thrones series, which the rapper is so passionate about that he invited the French voice of the Daenerys character, Marie Tirmont, to take part in the introduction to his album. The album, which also features collaborations with Kalash Criminel and Imen Es, reached No. 60 in the French charts. Early on, Benab was compared to the rapper Soolking, but he is also often associated with artists such as Franglish, Lomepal, Nekfeu and Maes, with whom he first collaborated in 2019 on the track "Rude", before repeating the experience a year later with the track "Sourire" . He returned in 2021 with Au Clair de la Rue (Part. 1), a mixtape on which he collaborated with artists such as Timal, Imen Es, Mister V, Naps, Marwa Loud and Maes on the track "Andale". The mixtape reached No. 5 in France and spawned a follow-up the same year, logically entitled Au Clair de la Rue (Part. 2), which reached No. 83 in Belgium. It featured a host of guest stars, including Timal, Kofs, Mamini, Zed and Maes, who made a name for himself on the single "Faya", which reached no. 56 in the French charts. After the singles "Téci", "Pistache", "Automatique" and "Jolie demoiselle " in 2022, Benab released the album Drapeau Blanc (No. 3 in France) in 2023, featuring collaborations with Timal (on the single "RS5"), Naza and Lynda. He didn't wait more than a year before unveiling a new chapter in his discography with Drapeau Noir, featuring duets with Timal, Lynda, Naza, Mig, Fresh La Douille, Anas, Danyl and Zokush. In 2025, the En 4 Temps and LDDLF series followed, each in four volumes, before the release the same year of the fourth album ALT F4, featuring Timal and ZKR, Mister You, Lacrim, Anas, Dibson, Kofs, Bimbim, Baby Black and singer Zaho.
