Ben Montague

Ben Montague, born Ben Montague in Farnborough, Kent, England, began playing guitar at a young age and later studied music theory before launching his professional career. He first attracted attention with the single "Can't Hold Me Down" in 2009, which was added to BBC Radio 2’s playlist for five weeks, followed by "Haunted" in 2010, which became Record of the Week and helped secure the release of his debut album Overcome in 2011. In 2012 he issued the EP Love Like Stars, with the title track entering the Radio 2 B List, and released the single "Another Hard Fall" later that year. His second studio album, Tales of Flying and Falling, arrived in 2013, produced at Rockfield Studios by Dave Eringa, and featured the single "Sweet Amelia". Ben Montague’s third album, Back into Paradise, was launched in June 2015 through MWM Limited; it was produced with Peter‑John Vettese and reached number 7 on the iTunes singer‑songwriter chart. During this period he supported acts such as Simply Red, The Wanted, Lawson, and Shane Filan, and performed at the Dello Bar in Dublin on 12 December 2015. Ben Montague’s work has been regularly broadcast on BBC Radio 2, and he has appeared on national radio shows, marking a steady presence in the UK pop music scene.
