Bembé Orquesta

Bembé Orquesta, also known as Orquesta Bembé, is a ten-piece salsa orchestra from Lima, Peru, founded in 2012 by Grammy-winning percussionist and producer Christian Pepin and pianist, composer, and arranger Erick Peralta. Conceived as a band with the elegance and complexity of a full orchestra, Bembé Orquesta quickly built a reputation in Lima’s salsa circuit for its fusion of salsa, Latin jazz, and Caribbean rhythms. In 2014, the group released its self-titled debut album Orquesta Bembé, a ten-track record that introduced their fresh take on traditional genres. Their major breakthrough came in 2019 with a salsa version of Yuridia’s ballad “Amigos no, por favor,” which became a viral success and earned millions of streams and views across platforms. That same year, they followed up with “En peligro de extinción” featuring Peruvian vocalist Farik Grippa, further establishing their presence in the national salsa scene. Subsequent hits include “Eres mi sueño,” “Entrégate,” and “El Color de Tus Ojos,” all featured in their 2024 live LP Live Session. They followed up in 2025 with the live albums Live Session 2 and Live Session III, which featured the fan favorite "El Amor de Mi Vida."
