B-DASH, a Japanese pop punk group, was formed in Tokyo in 1997 under the original name "Haguki-Dash." In 1999, the band changed its name to B-DASH and began incorporating multiple languages, including English and Japanese, as well as onomatopoeic elements into their music. That same year, they gained significant attention with singles like "Endless Circle", "Kids", "Voice Of Truth", and "Mi・So・Shi・Ru" (all 1999). Their debut album ○ (2001) was released in August 2001, marking the beginning of their full-length releases. In June 2002, they followed with the mini album ちょ(2002), and two months later released their next full-length record, ぽ (2002). The group continued to build their popularity with the album ビッグ ブラック ストア (連絡しろ) (2004). In May 2007, they released the compilation LEAD SONG COLLECTION (2007), featuring highlights from their earlier work. Their final album, オールタイムベスト (2017), served as a comprehensive collection of their best songs, showcasing their evolution as a band. B-DASH’s final performance took place on February 17, 2017, marking their disbandment. Throughout their career, they were known for their energetic live performances and unique musical style that blended punk rock with pop elements. Despite their disbandment, B-DASH’s influence on the Japanese pop punk scene remains significant, with their music continuing to inspire new generations of artists.
