BBMak were formed in Liverpool in 1996 by Christian Burns, Mark Barry and Stephen McNally. They were seen as the UK's answer to American bands like Backstreet Boys and *NYSYNC. Unlike most boy bands they wrote their own songs and played their own instruments. Their first single was 'Back Here' in 1999, which proved to be a hit both in the UK and Japan. Their debut album 'Sooner Or Later' was full of smooth harmonies and catchy pop songs and went gold in the US. The trio's second album 'Into Your Head' came out in 2003. The lead single was 'Out of My Heart (Into Your Head)'. Despite its quality pop feel and Californian influences, the album failed to match the commercial success of its predecessor. The band split up later in the same year. In 2018 the band reunited and released the album 'Powerstation' in 2019.
