Benjamin Bazzazian, known by his stage name Bazzazian, is a German music producer for pop and rap music. He was born in Cologne in 1979. Bazzazian's main musical genres are hip-hop, pop and electronic music. Bazzazian began his musical career at the age of 13 as a guitarist. After the break-up of his former band, he turned to music production. His first official production is the track "Nr. 1" on the album Faust des Nordwestens by rapper Azad in 2003. Over the course of his career, Bazzazian has worked with numerous well-known artists, including Haftbefehl, Samy Deluxe and Kontra K. He is part of the Selfmade Records production team Production Unit and forms the production duo Die Achse with Farhot. His best-known productions include albums such as Azzlack Stereotyp (2010) by Haftbefehl, Berühmte letzte Worte (2016) by Samy Deluxe and Das weiße Album (2020) by Haftbefehl. On October 17, 2024, Bazzazian released his first solo album 100Angst. the album features an impressive list of guest musicians, including Schmyt, Trettmann, Haiyti, Brutalismus 3000, Souly, Tarek Ebéné, Blumengarten, Casper and Miss Platnum. Bazzazian's most important awards include: Hiphop.de Awards: Best Producer National (2014 and 2020), Grimme Award for his work as Musical Supervisor on the Netflix series Skylines (2020), Award for "Best Alternative Album" from the IDP Foundation for Music and Talent Promotion (2024).
