Barbara Moore, born on March 7, 1932 in Bradford, United Kingdom, was a British singer. She began her musical journey studying jazz piano under the influence of her father Arthur Birkby. At 19, she worked as a pianist at the Taj Mahal Hotel in India. Upon returning to England, Moore joined the Ladybirds in the mid-1960s. Her career took off with the release of her debut album A Little Moore Barbara in 1967. She also collaborated with notable artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Dusty Springfield. Moore's work extended beyond singing; she was also an accomplished arranger and composer, contributing to projects like Voices in Latin (1968) and Bright & Shining (1981). She passed away on August 27, 2021.
