Baptiste Herbin

Baptiste Herbin, born 17 August 1987 in Chartres, Eure‑et‑Loir, is a French saxophonist and composer who began piano studies before taking up the saxophone at eleven. After training with Julien Lourau, Jean‑Charles Richard, and Riccardo Del Fra at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris, he joined the Paris jazz scene, performing with local musicians and touring with Charles Aznavour in 2014. His debut album, Brother Stoon (2012), earned a nomination for Revelation of the Year at the Victoires du Jazz 2013. Subsequent releases-Interférences (2015), Dreams and Connections (2018), Vista Chinesa (2020), Symmetric (2023), and LOS ARREGLADORES (2026)-showcase collaborations with Jean Toussaint, Pierre de Bethmann, and Sylvain Romano, while his 2018 Prix Django Reinhardt highlighted his growing influence in contemporary jazz.
