Bakari

Bakari, a young rapper from Liège, embodies one of the most striking features of today's French-language rap scene. Born in the Congo and raised between Rwanda and Belgium, he draws on his multicultural background for a wealth of inspiration that is reflected in his lyrics. At just 25, he has established himself with a unique artistic sensibility, blending melodies borrowed from Congolese rumba, varied sounds and an introspective pen. Revealed thanks to some hard-hitting tracks posted on YouTube, Bakari quickly caught the attention of a public in search of authenticity, as well as the media, who singled him out as an up-and-coming figure to watch. With his SUR ÉCOUTE EP series, he transports listeners into a singular musical universe. In 2023, he released the album SUPERNOVA, featuring collaborations with JenJass and BEN plg.
