Assala Mostafa Hatem Nasri is a Syrian singer born on May 15, 1969, in Damascus. She began her musical career at age 14 by performing patriotic, religious, and children's songs. She performed the theme song âQessas Al Sho'oubâ for the television show Hekayat Alamiyah. Nasri's commercial debut occurred in 1991 with the recording Law Ta'rafou, which included the tracks âYa Sabra Yanaâ and âSamehtak Ketirâ. Her discography included the studio recordings Ighdab (1993), Wala Tessaddaâ (1994), and Rahal (1995). In 2006, she married Tarek Alarian and later relocated to Cairo. She hosted the television program Soula and served as a judge on the debut season of Saudi Idol in 2022. In 2019, Nasri performed âRight Where I'm Supposed to Beâ as the official song of the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi. Her later recordings included Shayfa Feek (2022) and Daribet El Bo3d (2025).
