Ardijah, a music group from Auckland, New Zealand, was formed in 1979. The band began by playing covers in local venues during the early 1980s. Their first single, "Give Me Your Number", was released in 1986, followed by "Your Love is Blind". In late 1988, Ardijah released their album, Take a Chance, which achieved platinum status and held a top 20 position on the sales charts for four months. In 1995, after touring and success with "Gimme Time" featured in the film Once Were Warriors, they returned to New Zealand. Their second album, Influence, was released in 1996 on PolyFonk Productions. In 1999, Warner Music NZ released Ardijah's third album Time.
