ARC

Formed by producers/synthesists Ian Boddy and the late Mark Shreeve (also of Redshift fame) in the late 1990s, ARC were a DIY electronic duo hailing from the UK, known for use analogue synthesizers and creating soundscapes adjacent to ambient, synthwave and electronica. The pair released their debut album Octane in 1998 and became stalwarts of the UK's experimental electronic scene with successive releases such as Blaze (2003), Umbra (2014), Arclight (2015), Fleet (2017). Mark Shreeve passed away on 31 August 2022 and a posthumous release, Chronicle, saw the light in 2024, comprising live recordings from the duo's show at E-Live in the Netherlands in 2007.
