Steve Jolin, known professionally as Anodajay, was born on July 7, 1977, in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. He is a Canadian rapper and producer who discovered hip-hop at the age of 12 and began his musical journey at 16 while also pursuing basketball and education. Jolin earned a bachelor's degree in education and taught physical education in Rouyn-Noranda. His breakthrough came in March 2002 when he placed third in his category at the Hip Hop 4 Ever festival in Montreal. Anodajay released his debut album, Premier VII, in 2003. In 2006, he launched his second album, Septentrion, which included the notable track "Le Beat à Ti-Bi", produced with Raoul Duguay. Four years later, in 2010, he published ET7ERA. Anodajay's single "Jamais su", featuring a sample of Diane Tell's "Souvent, longtemps, énormément", achieved chart success.
