Annette Moreno, born on April 26, 1972, in San Diego, California, is an American singer-songwriter. She started her musical career at age 12 as a violinist and singer with Los Salmos de Eliezer Moreno Jr. In 1995, she released her debut album Volar libre. Annette Moreno joined the rock/pop band Rojo in 1997, contributing to their self-titled debut album in 2001 with the hit single "JardÃn de Rosas". She left Rojo to form Annette Moreno y JardÃn with her brother Elà Moreno. Their 2002 album Un ángel llora earned multiple nominations and awards, including a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Tropical Album in 2003. Notable singles from this period include "Bájate de la Canoa" and "Guardián de mi corazón".
