Annabelle Chvostek, born October 5, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a singer-songwriter. Her first gig was at age seven with the Canadian Opera Company, after which she sang with the Canadian Children's Opera Chorus. Chvostek later joined The Wailin' Jennys in 2004. Her debut full-length album, Full Stop (2000), reached number 7 on the national campus radio charts. Chvostek left The Wailin' Jennys in 2007 to focus on her solo career, releasing albums such as Resilience (2008), which was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award, and Rise (2012), nominated for both a JUNO Award and a Canadian Folk Music Award. Her 2021 release, String of Pearls, features collaborations with musicians from Canada and Uruguay.
