Angerme is a Japanese idol girl group from the musical collective Hello! Project. Originally named S/mileage, they rebranded as Angerme in 2014, marking the transition to their third generation of members. Their debut single, "Taiki Bansei/Otome no Gyakushuu," released in 2015 from the album Taiki Bansei, shot them to number 2 on the Japanese charts, and the following years saw Angerme deliver a series of hit tracks, notably "Watashi wo Tsukuru no wa Watashi / Zenzen Okiagarenai Sunday" (2019) and "Ai Mashō / Hade ni Yacchai na! / Aisubekibeki Human Life" (2022), which both went to Number 1. Performing extensively throughout Japan over the years, the group continued their streak into 2023 with new album Big Love which secured the fourth position on both the Oricon and Billboard charts, releasing singles "Ai no Kedamono / Dōsōsei" and "Red Line / Life Is Beautiful!", which attained similar success. Between 2024 and 2025, ANGERME saw significant member changes and new releases. Rikako Sasaki graduated on June 19, followed by Ayano Kawamura’s departure on November 28. Moe Kamikokuryo announced her graduation that December and left on June 18, 2025. During the group’s 10th anniversary tour, Layla Ise was named the next leader starting June 19 with Shion Tamenaga as sub-leader. On August 16, Momoha Nagano joined as the 12th-generation member, ahead of the November 2025 release of Keep your smile.
