Angeles del Infierno

Angeles del Infierno, a heavy‑metal group from Lasarte‑Oria, Guipúzcoa, Spain, was founded in 1978 by guitarist Robert Álvarez and bassist Santi Rubio. The band gained a foothold in the early 1980s when vocalist Juan Gallardo joined in 1982, prompting the name change to Ángeles del Infierno; the lineup subsequently included guitarist Manu García and drummer Iñaki Munita. Their breakthrough came with the 1989 debut A Cara O Cruz, followed by 666 and Joven Para Morir the same year, establishing the group among Spain’s leading metal acts alongside Barón Rojo and Obús. In 1984 the release of Pacto Con El Diablo sold over ten thousand copies worldwide and earned a spot on Al Borde’s list of the 250 influential Latin American pop‑rock LPs. The band signed with Warner’s WEA, recorded at Estudios Mediterráneo in Ibiza, and later toured with international acts such as AC/DC, Motörhead, and Saxon. After a hiatus, the group returned in 2003 released Todos Somos Angeles under Botina Bros, featuring singles like "Cae la noche" and "Todos somos ángeles".
