Russian composer Andrey Dergatchev has also worked as a musician, dancer and actor, but it is for his film soundtrack compositions that he is most well-known. In 1996, he was employed by the Moscow Conservatory where he established himself as an expert on music and new technology. As a film composer, his work is ambient and minimalistic and has been nominated for several awards. He composed the soundtrack music for 'The Return' (2003), 'The Banishment' (2007) and 'Apocrypha' (2009). His later work includes the soundtracks for the films 'Silent Ones' (2013), 'Leviathan' (2014), 'Boy On the Bridge' (2016) and 'Loveless' (2017).
