Andrés Cuervo (born on April 15, 1988) is a Colombian singer-songwriter, model, and philanthropist based in Miami, United States. Cuervo was born in Barranquilla but lived in Cali for most of his life. He took guitar and singing lessons at a young age and started writing songs during his teenage years. After turning 18 in 2001, he decided to move to Miami to fulfill his dream of becoming a songwriter. One of his demos reached producers Rudy Pérez, Jorge Villamizar, and David López, with whom he worked on his first release, 2008’s Tras de Tí. The title track became a hit after reaching Number 1 on the Mexican charts. Cuervo’s second album, Este Soy Yo, was released in 2013. The singles “Love Love Love,” “Destino o Casualidad,” and “Te Extraño” all reached the top 5 on the Mexican charts and received extensive airplay in Venezuela. In 2015, Cuervo released the album Historias de Amor and the standalone single “La Receta,” which reached Number 1 on Billboard’s Tropical chart in the US. “Vivirla Bien,” released in 2018, peaked at Number 18 on the same chart. He followed this success with “No Pidamos Perdón”, a duet with Colombian singer Fanny Lu that will be featured on his all-female collaborative album Cuervo 2020.
