Anderson & Vei da Pisadinha

Anderson & Vei da Pisadinha, a Brazilian forró duo from Jati, Ceará, formed in 2005 by father and son José Edson de Souza (Vei da Pisadinha) and Anderson de Souza, have significantly influenced the pisadinha genre—a fusion of traditional forró with electronic elements. Their breakthrough came in late 2018 when their track "Solinho Agressivo" went viral, propelled by the #ChallengeDoNordeste on social media, leading to widespread recognition across Brazil. In 2020, they released "Elas Gostam de Gasolina," a pisadinha rendition of Daddy Yankee's reggaetón hit, which gained further popularity through performances by artists like Wesley Safadão. Continuing their momentum, the duo released several albums, including Piseiro Raiz and Ela é Rapariga in 2020, and Verão in 2021. Their 2022 single "Rave e Bagaceira" creatively incorporated elements from Farruko's "Pepas," showcasing their innovative approach to blending genres. In 2024, they released the single "Tu Xera," followed by the 2025 live album No Quintal de Casa - Verão 2025, featuring tracks like "Vaqueirinha da Hora" and "Afoga o Ganço." Subsequent singles like "Xerou e Gostou" and "Hoje Vai Ter Vaquejada," released in 2025, continue to exemplify their energetic style and commitment to evolving the pisadinha sound.
