Amor Paisano

Amor Paisano is a Peruvian cumbia band from Piura formed by musical director Elmer Núñez in 2017. They made their debut later that year with the album La Lorita, which introduced their sanjuanera-rooted sound and established them on the northern live circuit. They expanded their catalog in 2020 with the album Te Comiste Mi Pastel, consolidating their presence in the regional cumbia market, and in 2021 issued the EP El Paisanito #01, which packaged several of their early fan favorites for streaming listeners. The group continued releasing standalone singles in the early 2020s, including “El Sapito” in 2022 and “Chiquito Goloso” in 2023, while live recordings such as “El Pajarito Muerto (En Vivo),” “El Mañanero (Live)” and “La Culebra” circulated on video platforms and reinforced their reputation as a party band from Piura’s highland districts. On 15 April 2024 they released the single “Volveré,” produced by Elmer Núñez with composition by Miguel Atilio Boccadoro, which became their breakout streaming track and pushed their name beyond northern Peru; later that year they followed with the single “Prefiero Irme,” and promoted the primicia “La Chiroquita” with a televised appearance on the Peruvian program El Súper Show. In 2025, Amor Paisano added the single “Mix Que No Me Saque la Vuelta (Hoy Estoy Aquí / Busco un Amor / Quién Será),” summarizing part of their repertoire in medley form as their catalog on streaming platforms came to include both studio releases and widely shared live clips from fiestas and patronal festivals across Piura and neighboring regions.
