American Boychoir

American Boychoir, founded in 1937 as the Columbus Boychoir in Columbus, Ohio, was a boys' choir boarding school. The group relocated to Princeton, New Jersey, and was renamed the American Boychoir School. Their breakthrough came through extensive touring and collaborations with major orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. Notable performances included appearances at the 77th annual Academy Awards in the 2004-2005 season with BeyoncÃ© Knowles and Jessye Norman, as well as concerts at Carnegie Hall. The choir released several albums, including Voices Of Angels: Christmas Favorites from the American Boychoir (2006) and Harmony: American Songs of Faith (2008). Despite facing financial challenges, the American Boychoir has continued to perform until its closure on August 15, 2017.
