Born in El Monte, Los Angeles County, on May 17, 1970, A.L.T. (Alvin Lowell Trivette) is an American rapper of Mexican origin, active in the 1990s. He made his name with the single "Tequila" (1992), in collaboration with The Lost Civilization, a hip-hop cover of The Champs' classic mixing humor and Latin rhythms, which reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. A former member of the Latin Alliance collective, A.L.T. helped popularize West Coast Latin rap, alongside artists such as Kid Frost and Mellow Man Ace. He has released several solo albums, including Another Latin Timebomb with The Lost Civilization in 1992, Stone Cold World (1993), Big Shots with Malice (2004) and The Resurrection (2009).
