Alps Otome is a dance and vocal local idol group based in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, and was formed in November 2006 as a younger sister group to Ringo Musume and Rice Ball. The members' names are all derived from the names of apple varieties or the surnames of local farmers, and are intended to support the apple farmers in the area. On June 18, 2025, they will release their 5th single, "Garlic Eat It, But You Can Chew It! / Scallop March" was released, and its humorous lyrics and catchy melody about Aomori's specialties attracted a lot of attention. Since its formation, the group has been rooted in the community, appearing at local events and serving as back-up dancers for sister groups. As of 2025, the group has been inducted into the "Local Idol Hall of Fame" as the pride of Hirosaki, and as a member of Ringo Music, they continue to spread the charms of Aomori throughout Japan.
