Based in San Diego, California, Almost Monday (stylised as almost monday) is an American indie pop trio founded in 2015 by Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar) and Luke Fabry (bass guitar). The three aspiring musicians shared similar musical interests during college and began jamming together, playing in garages and surf shops, cultivating their unique catchy and nostalgic style and catching the attention of The Killers producer Mark Needham, who co-produced their debut EP Donât Say Youâre Ordinary. The EP featured the bandâs first single, âBroken Peopleâ released on April 22, 2019, reaching number 27 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay charts, followed by âCome On Come Onâ on May 29, 2020, with the full EP released on Hollywood Records on October 9, 2020. In 2020, âBroken Peopleâ was remixed by musical duo Sofi Tukker, propelling the trio onto the dance scene and on January 26, 2021, they released âLive Foreverâ, the first single from their second EP Til the End of Time, released on July 9, 2021, in time for their festival debut at Lollapalooza. In 2022, they released two singles, âSunburnâ in April, and âSun Keeps on Shiningâ in June. The former, and other new singles such as "Life Goes By", "Is It Too Late?" and the Alternative charts Number 1 "Can't Slow Down", were included in the first album of Almost Monday, Dive, issued in September 2024, before the release of "Jupiter".
