Alkpote

Alkpote, whose real name is Atef Kahlaoui, was born in Paris on February 3, 1991. After an eventful school career, he chose to devote himself to music rather than plumbing, which was his default career choice. After moving to Évry at the age of 15, he adopted the stage name Al K-Pote, which he later changed to Alkpote, and joined the group Unité 2 Feu, with whom he released the album Haine, Misère et Crasse. But it was as a solo artist that he joined the Néochrome label in 2006 and released his first mixtape, Sucez-Moi Avant l'Album. This was followed by a debut album, L'Empereur (2008), and mixtapes Alkpote et la Crème du 91 (2009) and Alkpote & la Crème d'Ile 2 France (2010). His next solo project, L'Empereur Contre-Attaque (2012) features collaborations with Rim'K ("Double brochette") and Niro ("Éternelle course poursuite"). In 2014 and 2015, the rapper with voluntarily crude lyrics released two mixtapes, L'Orgasmixtape and L'Orgasmixtape Volume 2. The rapper then teamed up with DJ Weedim for two collaborative albums, Sadisme & Perversion, in 2016, followed a year later by Les Marches de l'Empereur, featuring Leto, Vald and Niska. Alkpote returned to solo work in 2018 with the album Inferno, followed the next year by Monument, featuring several duets: with Philippe Katerine on the track "Amour", with Kaaris on "Nautilus", with Kalash Criminel on "Patek" and with Roméo Elvis on "Jamais " . Two years later, he released Ogre, which also included several collaborations, with BigFlo & Oli, Alonzo and Mister V. After taking part in the 91 All Stars compilation in 2022 with the track "Les Missiles arrivent", he returned in early 2023 with the LSDC project, featuring contributions from rappers such as Heuss l'Enfoiré, Caballero, JeanJass, Naza, Elams and DEX, as well as Kai Du M, Ouss Wayne, Limsa d'Aulnay, Jok'Air and Luv Resval. Two years later, Alkpote returned with the solo EP Rejouissances, followed in 2026 by the concept album Les Ultimes Marches de l'Empereur, featuring Gims, Quavo, Gazo, Kaaris, Vald, Roi Heenok, Lesram, Ashe 22, ElGrandeToto, Vladimir Cauchemar and Todiefor.
